Telegram’s Crypto Ecosystem Sees First Unicorn with The Open Platform’s $1B Valuation

The Open Platform (TOP) has secured $28.5 million in Series A funding, closing the round at a $1 billion valuation. This milestone marks the first unicorn within Telegram's crypto ecosystem, driven by TOP's development of key TON-based products like Wallet in Telegram and NFT marketplace Getgems.

Ribbit Capital led the investment, bringing TOP's total funding to over $70 million. The capital will fuel geographic expansion into the U.S. and European markets, accelerating mainstream crypto adoption through Telegram's infrastructure.

"TOP's combination of expertise, capital, and our DEEP understanding of both TON and Telegram positions us as a leading force in this ecosystem," said CEO Andrew Rogozov. The firm's valuation underscores growing institutional confidence in Telegram's blockchain potential.
